Last year, more than 1,500 educators participated in professional development workshops, courses, seminars and conferences taught by our team of renowned experts.
Jewish educators are the linchpins of our Jewish education system. Only with well-trained, knowledgeable, inspired and inspiring educators teaching our adults, children and families will our heritage and values be transmitted successfully generation after generation. Therefore, providing opportunities for professional development to the educators throughout Greater Washington is one of the Partnership’s central strategies for transforming and enriching our community.
- The Partnership sponsors annual conferences that together serve nearly 1,500 early childhood and congregational educators in our community.
- We offer ongoing training opportunities that provide educators with vital skills, best practices and a wealth of cutting-edge educational materials created by our SRE Resource Center.
- Partnership staff lead and facilitate professional educator networks. This includes early childhood directors, educational directors in congregations, teachers, youth group educators, and adult and Israel-focused educators – which offer valuable resources, in-person and online networking, and collegial support for the community’s Jewish professionals.
- The Partnership strengthens leadership of our professional educators through retreats, professional development evenings, longer term courses, guest lectures and workshops.
- In our evolving relationship with Towson University, we are offering Master and Doctoral level courses to professional educators throughout our community.
