Extracurricular and After-School Programs

The Partnership offers two exciting programs for Jewish teens, which provides real-world experience and valuable skill-building:

Jewish Youth Philanthropy Initiative (JYPI) offers young people real life experiences giving them the opportunity to learn how philanthropy and service is an integral part of our Jewish tradition and can be an expression of our Jewish values.  Since JYPI's creation in 2000, more than 2,100 teens have participated in the program, awarding over $725,000 in grants to 180 non-profit organizations and completing over 11,000 hours of community service.

S.N.A.P. is a special education training institute that prepares 9th-12th graders to work as aides in congregational school classrooms and youth groups.  Teens engage in study and hands-on activities to gain knowledge, resources, concrete strategies and a Jewish perspective on working with children and teenagers with different needs.  Teens are placed at their “home congregation” upon request or at other congregations where there is a need for a trained teen aide.  Please contact us for more information.
